Last week, we talked a bit about building email funnel, which is an important way to manage leads and convert them into buyers. However, that’s just a small piece of the social media marketing funnel.
Today, I want to share a video with you that discusses the bigger picture…as in the social media funnel. This funnel should be the the #1 driver of any social media campaign, and if you don’t...

In case you missed it, yesterday I spent some time talking about why you need to have an email form on your website. If you didn’t read it, go check it out and then come back to this video. Once you’re done, make sure that you are signed up for AWeber, watch this video, and then get to work.

With the success of the Tweetmeme plugin for WordPress, it’s hard to believe that they waited this long to create their own version, but Facebook finally got around to creating their own Facebook share plugin.
This one is pretty handy because like Tweetmeme, it also has a counter, and it makes it extremely easy for people to share your content on Facebook, which currently dominates the social media scene.

You’ve probably seen it. It’s that big green RT button with a number on top that allows people to RT a blog post and get the instant gratification of knowing that they helped that number go up.
It’s a great way to get people to share content online and feel like they are contributing to the community.
However, as I spend time throughout the blogosphere, I’ve noticed that many bloggers...

If someone were to ask me what my favorite aspect of social media marketing is, I’d say that it is the ability to teach and sell using a blog or content portal.

We entrepreneurs don’t have a lot of time. Often, we’re a business of one, and we wear a lot of different hats. The last thing we need is another skill to learn, especially one that provides dubious results, at best.
In the case of social media, many entrepreneurs understand the need, but not the value.
You’ve been beaten over the head with the idea that you need a blog and a Twitter account,...

You know, every time I see a news anchor or TV personality talk about Twitter, I laugh. Not because they’re talking about Twitter, but because they are trying to be hip with a subject that they have zero clue about.
I love it because for the longest time, traditional media had a stranglehold on what was newsworthy and what wasn’t. If you didn’t go through the gatekeepers, you had no chance...

Alright, so you’ve been beaten over the head by people telling you that your company needs a blog (us included), and you know you need to make it happen. The problem is that you aren’t sure exactly how to pull it off without forcing it or coming off as an amateur. Maybe your niche doesn’t cater well to a blog, or at least you think it doesn’t. Maybe you just don’t know what topics...

If you are a business, brand, or consultant, you need to have an online presence. It doesn’t matter if your work is “brick and mortar” or not, there is simply no reason not to have a website.
I can’t tell you how many times I have gone to Google to search for a restaurant, service, or other type of business to find more information only to come up with a big nada. My first thought at...
